memory index

The purpose of the memory index was to create a digital space to store birthday cards, pictures and other things I collected over my lifetime. I stored them in three boxes, covering moments from even before I was born up until just a few days ago. Through this website I transformed my cluttered collection into a systematical index that puts my memories into a new dynamic context that hasn’t been there before. The presentation of the entries is based on my recollection and the passage of time. An abstract world of symbols is used to classify them into emotion-oriented categories.
